Hi! Our names are Russ and Lisa Penner. We are
the parents of three energetic little boys, David (age 4), Caleb (age
2), and Timothy (age <1). In February of 2000, we noticed the
calling of the Lord to put this page together. We have known for some
time that our life's work would be related to home education, and we
feel that the Lord has prepared us for this website
ministry.
Home education allows families to spend many rewarding hours learning and working together. It also requires some time spent behind the scenes, preparing yourself to do the best possible job. The purpose of our site is to assist parents with this preparation part of the process. If our site can help you to be more efficient and confident, we will consider our job well done.
I, (Russ), am the father of the home. I also work as a Teaching Assistant at Syracuse University, where I am working my way toward a Ph.D. in Mathematics. My teaching duties there help to pay the bills for our family. I also spend time working on this page, in addition to cutting firewood and all the other little things required to keep a household running.
I, (Lisa), am the mother of the home. Keeping up with three little boys takes up most of my time. David and Caleb are home educated. I suppose Timothy is as well (he is learning to eat solids and to sit up). My calling is this family, as well as helping other families to confidently raise their children in these difficult times.
